Terms of Service

By adding Luma to your Discord server, using our web dashboard, or accessing any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please remove Luma from your server and discontinue use of our web services. These Terms apply to all users, including server owners, administrators, and end users.

Luma is a Discord music bot that allows users to stream music from platforms including YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music, Deezer, and others. We also provide:

• A web dashboard for server management and player control
• A web player for controlling music from your browser
• Playlist creation, management, and sharing
• Bot status and monitoring tools

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with or without notice.

To use Luma you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU/UK)
• Have a valid Discord account in good standing
• Comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
• Have the necessary permissions to add bots to a Discord server

You agree not to use Luma to:

• Stream, share, or distribute content you do not have the rights to use
• Violate any applicable copyright, intellectual property, or neighbouring rights law
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the bot or web services
• Automate requests in a manner that places excessive load on our infrastructure
• Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international law
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' playlists, data, or accounts

Violation of these terms may result in immediate removal of Luma from your server and/or suspension of your dashboard access without notice.

Luma streams audio content from third-party platforms (YouTube, Spotify, etc.). We do not host, cache, or store any audio files. All audio is streamed in real-time via Lavalink from the original source platforms, subject to their respective terms and licences.

The Luma brand, logo, source code, and web design are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without our written permission.

If you believe content streamed through Luma infringes your copyright, please contact us at legal@lumabot.app with a DMCA-compliant notice.

Luma may offer premium features (collectively, "Premium") through a paid subscription or one-time purchase. By purchasing Premium:

• You agree to pay all applicable fees at the rates in effect at the time of purchase
• Payments are processed through third-party payment processors; we do not store card details
• Premium features are provided on an "as-is" basis and are subject to change
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of purchase for eligibility
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue premium tiers with 30 days' notice

Luma is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Luma and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our service integrates with and links to third-party platforms (Discord, YouTube, Spotify, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

We may terminate or suspend your access to Luma at our sole discretion, immediately and without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your use at any time by removing Luma from your servers and deleting your dashboard account. Upon termination, your right to use the service immediately ceases.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which the service operator resides.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced in our Discord support server at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of Luma after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
